Marathon Pilot's Navigator Quartz - Tritium Illumination - Full Kit

Purpose-built rather than merely military-inspired, the Marathon Navigator is a lightweight Swiss-made tool watch developed for use by military pilots and personnel operating in demanding environments.

This example features Marathon’s distinctive sage-green high-impact composite Fibreshell case surrounThis example features Marathon’s ding a highly legible white 12/24-hour dial. A red-tipped seconds hand provides an immediate splash of color, while the date display at approximately 4:30 keeps the layout functional without compromising readability.

The bidirectional 12-hour bezel can be used to track a second time zone, an especially appropriate feature given the Navigator’s aviation roots. The sapphire crystal provides excellent scratch resistance, while the asymmetrical case offers additional protection around the crown.

Low-light visibility is handled by self-illuminating tritium gas tubes on the hour markers and hour/minute hands, with additional illumination at the bezel marker. Unlike conventional luminous paint, tritium does not need to be “charged” by an external light source.

Inside is a Swiss high-torque quartz movement engineered for reliability, accuracy and resistance to demanding operating conditions. The caseback markings identify this example as WW194013, NSN 6645-01-544-9475, with Marathon’s CAGE code 38776 and individual serial number 10672.

At 41mm in diameter, the Navigator has plenty of wrist presence while its composite construction keeps it exceptionally light. Water resistance is rated to 6 ATM / 60 meters, with a 20mm strap width.

This example is especially attractive as a package. It includes the Marathon presentation tin, paperwork, tan military-style nylon strap and additional Marathon rubber strap shown in the photographs.
